Job Summary:
We are looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The Assistant Teacher will support the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children, helping implement daily activities, and contributing to a positive classroom culture.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the supervision, care, and education of children in accordance with center policies and state regulations.

Support the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities.

Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.

Foster respectful, responsive, and positive relationships with children, families, and team members.

Assist with daily routines such as meals, toileting, rest time, and transitions.

Observe and document children’s behavior and development to support assessments.

Communicate regularly and effectively with the Lead Teacher and administrative staff.

Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures.

Attend staff meetings and required training/professional development sessions.
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or GED required.

Experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool setting is a plus.

Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and take initiative when needed.

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Additional certification:
-
Shaken Baby Syndrome, SIDS (Sudden infant death syndrome),Trauma Informed Practice, Mandated Reporter, Safe food handler

Strong communication skills, patience, and a love for working with children.
- Physically able to lift up to 30 pounds and participate in active play.
