J. Lyn’s Garden & Design is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, reliable team member to perform various landscaping and gardening tasks. We are a small boutique-like landscape firm specializing in design, installation, and maintenance of urban landscapes. We are currently seeking crew members for full-time and part-time positions for our 2026 season and beyond!
Landscaping experience is preferred, including plant identification, landscape equipment operation, and annual container planting. Additional skills such as hardscape, landscape lighting, irrigation, handyman work, or woodworking are a plus. Creativity and an eye for detail are valued, as well as strong organizational skills and experience providing outstanding customer service. All candidates must be prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions, safely drive company vehicles, and perform some heavy lifting. As a small business with a tight-knit crew, strong teamwork is critical. We are also seeking candidates who have the interest and potential to advance into senior roles in the company in the future.
We value work-life balance, and generally work regular business hours M-F. Our season runs approximately April through December. Some overtime and Saturdays will be required May-June and November-December. Our part-time position can be adapted to fit your schedule.
Pay range starts at $19+ per hour depending on experience, and we provide paid leave and an end-of-year bonus. Must have reliable means to commute to our location near Cicero and Peterson, must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record, and must speak English.
