About the Role
Garnet Studios Chicago is seeking a creative, organized, and social-media-savvy individual to help grow our Jewelry Arts business and connect our brand with a wider audience. This role is ideal for someone who loves jewelry, art, storytelling, and creating engaging digital content. The Social Media & Marketing Coordinator plays a pivotal role in expanding the reach of Garnet Studios Chicago. In this position, you will highlight our jewelry arts studio, workshops, student achievements, and creative process across key digital channels. By building an active online community, you will help us turn followers into students.
Responsibilities
● Create and manage engaging content for Instagram and Facebook.
● Photograph and film studio space, tools, classes, jewelry, events, and behind-the-scenes content.
● Develop creative posts, Reels, Stories, videos, and captions that reflect our brand.
● Create and maintain a consistent social media content calendar.
● Monitor comments, messages, and community engagement and respond in a professional manner.
● Help promote new classes, workshops, events, and what’s happening in the local jewelry community, across the country, and internationally.
● Collaborate with our students and studio members to tell stories about their work and creative processes.
● Track social media performance and provide recommendations for improving reach and engagement.
● Regular communication with Garnet Studios managers
Qualifications
● Experience managing social media for a business, brand, artist, or creative organization.
● Strong knowledge of Instagram and Facebook.
● Excellent photography, video, writing, and storytelling skills.
● Creative eye for visual presentation.
● Comfortable creating short-form video content and working with basic editing/design tools.
● Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills.
● Ability to work independently while collaborating with artists and creative team members.
● Passion for the creative arts and jewelry is a plus.
● Must live in the Chicagoland area
Compensation
Pay: $15/hour
Schedule: Part-time, flexible hours
Location: Studio Location / Hybrid / Remote
