Join us on July 13th for a one hour discussion between Bold Ventures' CEO Jessyca Dudley and photographer Christopher Hurd led by Curator Whitney LaMora on Jessyca and Christopher's unique and bold approaches to their work and artistry.
Bold Ventures partners with individuals, families, foundations, and donor communities who are committed to eliminating disparities through relationship, repair, and the redistribution of wealth. We'll hold our discussion in their newly opened storefront offices at 1448 W Montrose where you can see Chris' work currently on display.
Doors for the discussion will open at 1:30pm and our talk will begin promptly at 2pm. This event is free to attend.

ABOUT THE PARTICIPANTS
Jessyca Dudley (she/her) is an experienced social sector leader and strategic advisor who has supported individuals and organizations to shape their strategy, implementation, and learning to advance racial equity. As the founder and CEO of Bold Ventures, she leads a dynamic team and develops strong and trusting relationships with clients through facilitation and stakeholder engagement that enhances the impact of their efforts. Jessyca’s prior leadership roles include serving as the Executive Director of Chicago African Americans in Philanthropy, as a Director at Arabella Advisors where she developed new strategy approaches and advocated for investment in BIPOC communities, and as the Gun Violence Prevention program officer for the Joyce Foundation.
Chris Hurd is a Chicago-based freelance photographer specializing in cycling and aerial landscapes. His passion for art and photography came at a young age eventually evolving into a professional photography career. After an initial trip to Iceland in 2016, Chris fell in love with the Icelandic terrain; its topography becoming the cornerstone of his landscape and aerial photography journey for almost a decade. Featured as one of Wildist's "7 Adventure Photographers You Should Know", Chris captures destinations with spectacular scenery from land and air. Chris was also featured in Framebridge’s Black Artist Print Shop, supporting the work and hearing stories of black owned businesses.
Whitney LaMora (she/her) is a curator, producer and immersive artist. She works as the Creative Director of Drinking Policy Hospitality Collective which runs Dorothy, a lesbian cocktail lounge and Villanelle, a queer-focused wedding and event venue. She also works as an Independent Curator bringing rotating, original artwork into public and private spaces and currently curates for the Bold Ventures offices.
