On April 8, 2019, construction and excavation began on the highly-anticipated Ravenswood Towers. This new neighborhood landmark is the result of a 6-year collaboration between Hayes Properties, Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce, Beyond Design and Foster Dale Architects. We're excited to invite you to join at at noon on Sat. June 1 for a ribbon cutting celebration.
The Ravenswood community has continually embraced creativity, culture, and craftsmanship. Our historic Industrial Corridor, originally home to a bevy of manufacturing facilities, currently serves as a hub for artisans, makers, startups, design firms, printmaking shops, and breweries.
Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s architecture style and the surrounding corridor, this new gateway encapsulates the unique spirit of Ravenswood. Made of reclaimed Chicago brick and stainless steel, the twin canopies create a welcoming glow that bounces off the copper ceiling and represents perseverance and prosperity. The arches create an umbrella design that suggests safety and acceptance.
The Towers will be anchored facing north at Irving and Ravenswood and will help further establish our community’s distinct identity.
