The Quadrille is a lively and structured dance from the 19th century, often performed at European ballrooms. What’s covered in each class:
The Fledermaus Quadrille is danced in six successive sequences, traditionally called Le Pantalon (“Trousers”), L’été(“Summer”), La Poule (“The Hen”), La Trénis (named for the dance master Trenitz), La Pastourelle (“The Shepherd Girl”), and the Finale. In each class, we focus on one of these sequences, emphasizing footwork, partnering, and overall posture and poise, while also exploring the refined elegance and cultural significance of the dance.
