Opening Celebration: "Still Open," New Ink Paintings by Emily Rapport at Eat Paint Studio

Still Open explores a familiar subject for Rapport - neighborhood scenes and portraits of a changing urban landscape. Her typically vibrant painting palette is restricted to monochromatic earth tones of black, grey, brown and sepia. The small inky landscape paintings feature down-at-the-heel homes, corner stores, vacant lots, and construction sites from Lincoln Square, Ravenswood and Bowmanville. The exhibit will be on view from 7/9 through 8/14.
