Every business needs a website these days. Small businesses don't always have the funds to hire a professional to design and develop the website of their dreams. DIY platforms abound, but how can you be sure your site and the content therein is useable by folks who use screenreaders, are colorblind, or even just have trouble with technology? Luckily, the Americans with Disabilities Act gives us some guidance. Join us at Roundabout for training that introduces design best practices for making your website accessible to as many humans as possible.
Led by Andi Mints Gilreath of Roundabout, we will examine 9 areas of web design to focus on to make your site more accessible. By the end of the afternoon, participants will walk away with simple edits to make their website more accessible.
Tickets include admission, sandwiches from Jersey Mike's, and entry into a door prize raffle to win gift cards to Ravensgoods and Lucila's Alfajores. Registration closes at noon on Wednesday, April 24th. This event is presented by the Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce and Roundabout.
