An introduction to the various plants and techniques of natural dyeing. Learn how to wash, scour and dye fabric at home using various flower, roots, bark and leaves. Learn about the vast history of natural dying and how it has progressed over time; along with the these beautiful, nontoxic options for clothes and fabrics. We will be focusing on crafting with a fructose Indigo Vat to create beautiful blue hues on pure cotton fabric. Learn the various types of Indigo vats, how to achieve different shades and fun designs! We will be hands on learning with dipping cotton bandanas in an organic fructose Vat. Go home with all the basic information to get started with botanical dying at home!
