Forge Film Acting Kids Academy: Summer Camp (Age 9-15)

Monday -  Improv & Ensemble

• Students will gain comfortability and confidence collaborating as an ensemble of performers

• Improv games and acting exercises build a strong foundation for the week ahead

• Learn the teamwork skills needed for days on set

Tuesday -  Acting Technique

• Dive into scenes with characters relevant to student's age

• How to break down a script

• Apply movement exercises covered in day 1 to tell a story in a scene

• Explore character-building- get creative doing the scene your own unique way!

Wednesday -   Camera Technique

• Put your scenes up on camera

• Use the frame to your advantage

• How movement tells a story on camera even without lines

• What different shots are used for (close-up, medium, wide)

Thursday -  Audition Technique

• Mock-auditions: gain confidence & learn what to expect in the audition room

• Self-tapes & how to read breakdowns

• Rehearsal for Showcase

• You have power in the audition room! Why bringing your unique self is more than enough.

Friday -  Showcase

• Showcase your favorite work from class for agents and  casting professionals

All footage is recorded and sent via a secure link to parents to watch playback each week - have fun!
