After the opening, stay to explore “Art As Spiritual Practice,” a hands-on creative workshop facilitated by Linda Jackson from Cityside. We’ll unwind and explore our creative sides through meditation and painting or drawing. No experience is needed—just bring a beginner’s mind and your imagination! Art supplies and prompts are provided, and you’ll leave with your own take-away piece of art.

ABOUT BRIA BRIDGES
Born with Jamaican roots in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Bria Bridges is a Chicago-based multimedia artist specializing in painting, video editing, graphic design, and photography.
Her paintings portrays the Black experience through a surrealist lens, blending early 20th-century art movements with modern influences like abstract and neo-expressionism.
By bending reality, Bria creates a bright, fantasized version of the world where ethnic features are celebrated.
Her use of vibrant colors and exaggerated forms offers a playful energy while inviting introspection.
Her artist name, Subconshis, reflects her process of creating on auto-pilot, bringing hidden thoughts to light.
