Baby Steps: A Program for Growing Families

Join librarians from Sulzer Regional and Merlo Branch for this three-week series. Meet and chat with other expectant parents and parents of newborns, explore baby’s early literacy development and talk with local experts versed in early childhood development, pregnancy and infant care. 

This week’s program features Sue Gottschall, M.Ed., CLS, CD/PCD(DONA) and co-founder of Chicago Family Picnic, who will facilitate a discussion about our expectations, hopes and fears in childbirth.

All expectant parents and parents of newborns 0 to 6 months are welcome. Participants will receive a take-home kit, including materials to make a special gift for their little one (while supplies last).
