3rd Annual Winnemac Fourth For All (WFFA)
Join us in the park on Saturday, July 4th, 2026 for a day dedicated to community, connection, and celebration - without the fireworks. WFFA features a range of activities that cater to all ages, allowing us to come together to celebrate the holiday in our beloved green space.
Our free event offers an All-Star baseball game played by CMBA, our first-ever WFFA Art Fair, a disc-golf competition hosted by Chicago Disc Golf Authority, an array of live acoustic music, face painters, children's story hour, a space for personal lawn games and picnicking, a yoga class, delicious offerings from local food trucks and more!
Once the sun sets, the fire starts with a captivating performance by Full Moon Jam that you do not want to miss! Below we have outlined the demonstrations and activities we have planned for our community celebration.
WHAT TO KNOW FOR WFFA
- Respect for our community, park, and beloved natural areas are at the heart of our WPAC core values.
- This will be a firework-free event; fireworks are illegal and strictly prohibited in our park; Full Moon Jam has a no-firework rule at all performances for the safety of the performers.
- Our event is free; donations may be given on-site or online at any time.
- Portable bathrooms will be available throughout the park.
- Lawn games such as volleyball, badminton, cornhole are very much welcomed after 1pm (following our disc golf course).
- The Damen Avenue parking lot will be unavailable during our event.
- Dogs must be kept on leashes to ensure the safety of patrons.
- Food trucks will be present the entire event; picnicking is also encouraged.
- Volunteers will be accessible for assistance throughout WFFA.
- Wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and prepare for any kind of weather Chicago may throw at us! We cannot wait to celebrate with you!

Get ready for Chicago Disc Golf Authority's July 4th ACE RACE! This fun, fast-paced disc golf event is open to players of all ages and skill levels. There will be a custom 9-hole course set up, perfect for beginners and seasoned players alike.

1 point for hitting metal
3 points for hitting chains
5 points for an ACE!

Whether you're chasing your first ace or simply coming out for a good time, this is a fantastic way to celebrate, compete, and enjoy disc golf with the community.

Ease your way into the celebratory activities with a free yoga class by Bloom Yoga! Start your holiday morning by stretching away your worries as Samantha walks you through a guided class under our astounding tree variety. Mats will not be provided.
WFFA ART FAIR | 1:00 - 6:00 PM
This Independence Day, Winnemac Park is looking to celebrate independent artists by adding our first-ever Art Fair to WFFA! As part of the beloved Fourth For All Festival, we are bringing together local creatives to showcase art, photography, crafts, and handmade goods in the heart of our community. If you are a painter, sculptor, illustrator, craftsperson, or maker of any kind, this is your chance to share your work with thousands of festival-goers.

STORY TIME WITH MISS RUBY (2:00 PM)
Join Miss Ruby for a drop-in 60-minute Storytime full of books, songs, and fingerplays! We'll read stories, play with scarves, and dance along to music together. Miss Ruby is a teaching artist and children's musician who has taught young artists at Chicago Children's Theatre, Edgewater Public Library, Women & Children First, and more.

Our celebration of America's 250th Birthday continues with the patriotic sounds of the national anthem, followed by CMBA taking to the bases for one of our country's favorite pastimes! Enjoy an All-Star baseball game played by one of Chicago's amateur leagues over on our new turf field among neighbors, family, and friends to kick off a community celebration!
FULL MOON JAM PERFORMANCE | 7:00 - 10:00 PM
Join us once the sun settles for a captivating, fire-fueled performance by Chicago's own Full Moon Jam. Get deep into the groove as their drum crew plans to takes you on a musical journey as the flame and fun fills the night sky!

FULL MOON JAM WORKSHOPS
Full Moon Jam will be joining us in the park on Saturday, July 4th at our 3rd Annual Winnemac Fourth for All to provide a fiery spectacle in place of fireworks!
🐦🔥 Ahead of their 7PM performance, they will be hosting two FREE workshops that give participants the chance to interact with poi and staves while learning the fundamentals of movement with these tools. No prior experience is needed to join these workshops.
Free Full Moon Jam Workshops at Winnemac Fourth For All
4:00pm - 5:30pm: Intro to Poi with Be Love
This class focuses on the basic foundations of manipulating two poi. It is designed for all ages, and no prior experience is needed. We will discuss the philosophy of Flow, timing, rhythm, and the mechanics of your hands doing opposite things at the same time. Fundamental techniques taught will include Pendulum swings, Extensions, Body Wraps, Weaves (Figure 8 pattern), Buzzsaws, Reels & Turning.
5:30pm - 7:00pm: Intro to Double Staves with Nancy FireFlower
Learn traditional baton spins and finger spins! Combine these with simple double-staff moves for a unique flow. Discover the tricks to toss and catch flawlessly. Many of the techniques can also be applied to other props, such as staff or even dragon staff. This workshop teaches beginners the fundamentals, key considerations, and drills to help them progress in their flow journey.
