About Us
At Forbidden Root, Chicago's first botanic brewery, we brew craft beer inspired by nature. We love barley, water, hops, and yeast, and use those as a base to explore a rich world of wild ingredients.
Our side taproom is now open! Located right behind our main restaurant and brewery, it’s a separate craft beer focused room with a small selection of spirits, wine, and bar snacks. A room that is meant for neighborly imbibing and enjoying the people around you. Filled with a selection of board games and some great beer from ourselves and our brewery friends around Chicago and beyond.
