Dr. Michelle Montero is a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of Alchemy Performance Consulting, LLC, based in Chicago, IL. With expertise in both clinical and sports psychology, she helps individuals and teams navigate challenges related to identity, trauma, mood, and anxiety disorders, sports injury and rehabilitation, performance enhancement, and career transitions.
Dr. Montero is passionate about emotional intelligence and team building. She equips individuals and organizations with the tools to foster resilience, empathy, and high performance. She specializes in trauma-informed care, supporting athletes and professionals in high-stress, performance-driven environments. Her expertise in athlete mental health helps clients balance well-being with the demands of competition, from injury recovery to navigating life beyond sports. Additionally, she is a strong advocate for gender-based violence prevention and gender-affirming care, working to create inclusive, supportive spaces for all individuals.
Dr. Montero is a certified trauma stress Specialist, a Women's Mental Health Specialist, and a candidate for the Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) credential in sports psychology. She takes a holistic, collaborative, and strengths-based approach, empowering her clients to build confidence, resilience, and long-term success.
