SUMMARY:Cornelia Arts Building March Open Studios
DESCRIPTION:The artists of The Cornelia Art Building invite the public to their first open house of the new year! Visit one of the largest all-artist buildings on Chicago's North side\, and experience two-full floors of working art studios. The building has undergone extensive remodeling upgrades\, and has welcomed many new artists into the building. With one-of-a-kind artwork and special artisan-made gifts by the building artists\, the event offers something for the whole family to enjoy.\n\n\n\nFor thirty-six years this artist incubator space has provided Chicago artists with professional studio spaces to pursue their passion. Over fifty local artists and artisans work here\, including painters\, sculptors\, photographers\, ceramic artists\, print-makers\, jewelry designers\, textile artisans\, and much more. Visitors to the Open House can meet many of the building's talented artists and artisans in person\, explore their art practices up close\, and enjoy the opportunity to purchase artwork and hand-made crafts directly from the people who made them.\n\n\n\nEstablished in 1986 in a former ice-house\, the Cornelia Arts Building is located at the border of three distinct Chicago Neighborhoods\; Lakeview\, Roscoe Village\, and North Center. Located close to public transportation and only two blocks south of the Addison Brown Line CTA stop\, the building also has free parking available in parking lot out front\, and on neighborhood streets nearby. Event is free and open to the public.\n\n\n\nThe event will follow all current Covid-19 mitigating efforts mandated by the city during the date of the event. Currently masks are required (over nose and mouth) by everyone at all times throughout the building. Proof of vaccination may be requested. We want the CAB Open Studios event to be safe for our guests and artists\, so your cooperation is appreciated in following these COVID guidelines.\n\n\n\nBuilding Website: http://www.corneliaartsbuilding.com/
